Responsibility does not conflict with or exclude profitability.
Quite the contrary, a responsible business is profitable and the profitability of the business is essential to responsible operations.
Responsibility is built into Tradeka’s strategy, and we approach it from two angles:
- As an owner, Tradeka expects Tradeka-owned companies to conduct their operations in a responsible way and to continuously strive to improve in this area. Tradeka-owned companies want to be the most responsible companies in their industries. We also support Tradeka-owned companies in their efforts to reach this goal. All Tradeka-owned companies have their own corporate social responsibility initiatives. Tradeka’s strategy also declares that acting according to the Paris Agreement climate goals is an objective for all companies within the group.
- According to the profit-sharing promise, Tradeka with the help of Tradeka’s foundation directs a long-term average of 10% of the operating profit to activities benefiting society. The profit-sharing promise is carried out through donation and grant programs and Tradeka’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.
And together with Tradeka’s foundation, we make donations to support non-profit activities in line with values shared by Tradeka’s members.
This profit-sharing promise includes investment activities in Tradeka’s ‘Create new’ and ‘Be patient and execute’ ownership categories through which Tradeka drives social transformation.
